Krystal Keith recently delivered a stunning rendition of the National Anthem, and a clip shared to Toby Keithâs social media accounts on Thursday evening (January 2) is captioned: âWeâre sure Toby wouldâve said âThatâs my girl!ââ
The beloved âShouldâve Been A Cowboyâ artist âpassed peacefullyâŚsurrounded by family,â per a statement nearly one year ago. Keith died on February 5, 2024, following a battle with stomach cancer. He was 62. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee is survived by his wife, Tricia Covel, who was married to the country star for nearly four decades at the time of his passing. Keith is also survived by his grandchildren and his three children, son Stelen Keith Covel, 28, and daughters Krystal, 39, and Shelley Covel Rowland, 45.
Keith has been honored in many tributes since his loss, including a moving performance that Krystal delivered during the Toby Keith: American Icon show at Bridgestone Arena in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The star-studded tribute show included performances by Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Ashley McBryde, Jelly Roll, Carrie Underwood, Lainey Wilson and many others. Krystal wore her fatherâs custom-made hat as she performed âDonât Let The Old Man In.â She said on her late fatherâs birthday in July, âwe miss him like crazy.â
