Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman reunited with former Reba costar Steve Howey on the latest episode of Happy’s Place.

Howey played Van Montgomery on the beloved early 2000s series. Reba premiered in 2001 and concluded in 2007. Howey played son-in-law to Reba Hart, played by McEntire, whose children on the show were played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher (Cheyenne Hart-Montgomery), Scarlett Pomers (Kyra Hart) and Mitch Holleman (Jake Hart). McEntire’s character shared the children with ex-husband Brock Hart, played by Christopher Rich, who remarried Peterman’s character, Barbara Jean Booker Hart.

Happy’s Place made its debut in October. McEntire plays Bobbie, who “inherits a restaurant from her late father, then learns she must share ownership with a newly discovered half-sister, creating awkward tension between the two.” Bobbie’s half-sister, Isabella, is portrayed by Belissa Escobedo. The cast also includes McEntire’s real-life boyfriend, actor Rex Linn (Emmett), and Peterman, who plays Gabby.

While filming the newest episode of Happy’s Place, Howey couldn’t resist making a reference to Reba when he appeared on set with McEntire and Peterman. Happy’s Place airs on Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on NBC, and is available to stream the following day on Peacock. Watch a clip featuring Howey as a guest star here:
