Carly Pearce is joining her “Maybe This Christmas” duet partner Michael Bublé to serve as Playoff Advisor for his team on The Voice.

Bublé said in a new promo shared on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon (November 26) that Pearce is “one of the hottest acts in what is the hottest genre of music in the world,” and he’s “a genius” for teaming up with her on the smash-hit competition show.

“I love The Voice. I’ve always wanted to be able to be a part of something like this,” Pearce said as she stepped into her role as Playoff Advisor. “You can see yourself in these performers and you see the dream that they have, and you see the potential.

“There are so few voices of any generation — Tracy Chapman, Adele — you know within three notes who it is. And you have one of those,” the hummingbird star told one Team Michael singer. Pearce told another, “I was 14, and I took a job singing at Dolly Parton’s theme park, Dollywood., because I knew I had a dream. And I’m just telling you: believe that you can do it, and don’t chase anything else down because you are meant to do this.”

Pearce’s appearance on The Voice arrives shortly after she and Bublé released a stunning holiday duet and music video together. Bublé is making his coaching debut this season, alongside fellow first-time coach Snoop Dogg and returning coaches Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire.

“I would’ve loved to have been able to just have a conversation with somebody, you know, in this position back when I was getting started. And just to have a cheerleader that understands the process,” Pearce said. The Voice airs on NBC on Tuesday night at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT, and streams on Peacock.
