Carly Pearce said she typically waits until after Thanksgiving to listen to Christmas music, but one artist inspired her to make an exception.

Pearce joined Michael Bublé on a stunning new holiday duet, “Maybe This Christmas.” The collaboration made its debut on Monday (November 18) after Bublé and Pearce shared sneak peeks on their social media accounts. Pearce said on Monday that she’s been a longtime fan of Bublé’s, so when the first-time coach on The Voice invited the hummingbird star to join him on “Maybe This Christmas,” Pearce couldn’t resist.

“I don’t listen to Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but for Michael Bublé and this moment I’ll make an exception,” Pearce wrote in an Instagram caption when “Maybe This Christmas” arrived on Monday.

Bublé said last week that the duet with Pearce “fell into place so seamlessly it feels like fate had a hand in it.” He previously explained in a video that he wrote a Christmas song for people that might not love Christmas because they’re hurting, because they’re vulnerable, because it’s a tough time for a lot of people. I wanted to write something to give them hope.”
