Jelly Roll said he was âhonoredâ to visit the Toby Keith Foundationâs OK Kids Korral during a recent stop in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Late country legend Toby Keith launched the Korral in an effort to help children with cancer and their families.
âIâve heard so much incredible stuff about this place,â Jelly Roll said in a video he shared on Instagram on Friday (November 15). âIâm really excited to go see the legacy that Toby Keith has left behind up here. (It was) a big part of his heart to give back.â
The Foundation started in 2006 with a mission of offering cost-free housing for children with cancer, Jelly Roll learned when he toured the OK Kids Korral. The Beautifully Broken superstar said âseeing Tobyâs legacy like this is nothing short of phenomenal. âŚThatâs the kind of legacy you really wanna leave in life.â
Earlier this year, Keith âpassed peacefullyâŚsurrounded by family,â following a battle with stomach cancer, a statement on his social media pages confirmed. He was 62. The 2024 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee is survived by his wife of nearly four decades, Tricia Covel, and three children, Shelley Covel Rowland, Krystal Keith and Stelen Keith Covel, and grandchildren.
