Reba McEntire shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of a Happy’s Place taping in front of a studio audience.

The clip features McEntire and her real-life boyfriend, actor Rex Linn. The pair met in the early 90s while filming The Gambler Returns: The Luck of the Draw, and reconnected in January 2020. Others in the cast include McEntire's former Reba co-star Melissa Peterman, Belissa Escobedo, Pablo Castelblanco, Tokala Black Elk and more. The show was created by Julie Abbott and Kevin Abbott, and follow’s McEntire’s character, Bobbie, as she “inherits a restaurant from her late father, then learns she must share ownership with a newly discovered half-sister [Isabella, played by Escobedo], creating awkward tension between the two.”

“It’s another creative outlet – that’s why I love acting,” McEntire shared via her record label before Happy’s Place premiered. “When I did ‘Annie Get Your Gun,’ I got to sing, I got to act, but I also got to be another character. I wasn’t Reba McEntire, so that’s what I really enjoy doing – being outside my character.”

Happy’s Place made its debut last month on NBC and Peacock. The next episode is set to air on Friday (November 15) at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m CT on NBC.
