Lainey Wilson spotlighted her relationship with former football quarterback Devlin “Duck” Hodges in a new video she shared on TikTok and Instagram on Wednesday (October 30).
The reigning CMA and ACM Entertainer of the Year shared another clip of the couple driving around together as she sings along to her Whirlwind single, “4x4xU.” Wilson wrote the love song with Jon Decious and Aaron Raitiere, and said when she released it earlier this year that it’s “about finding that someone that gives you the comfort and peace of home anywhere in the world as long as you’re by their side.”
“In a 4x4xU, babe/ From the bayou to Kentucky/ City to the country/ From here to Timbuktu/ Boy, after a long day/ You know there ain't no wrong way/ To drive my crazy crazy/ In a 4x4xU”
Wilson previously shared a glimpse of her life with Hodges set to “4x4xU.” She and the former NFL star made their debut as a couple at the ACM Awards in 2023, though they’d been dating about two and a half years at the time. Wilson told PEOPLE months later that Hodges is “a very lovable person. …I was never really able to write love songs, because I don't know if I had actually felt it, but I'm writing me some love songs now. I’m grateful for him.”
