Jason Aldean and his wife, Brittany Aldean, revealed their Halloween costumes on Thursday morning (October 31). The award-winning country star and his wife, who routinely dress up and film sketches based on popular films and TV, put their own spin on scenes from the 2008 comedy Stepbrothers in a video they posted on Instagram. They captioned it: “HAPPY HALLOWEEN from Dragon and Nighthawk🧍🏻🧍🏻”

The husband and wife duo donned curly wigs and sweater vests to resemble Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, who play stepbrothers Brennan and Dale, respectively, in the Adam McKay-directed film. The movie focuses on “two aimless middle-aged losers still living at home (and) are forced against their will to become roommates when their parents marry,” per the film’s description on IMDb.

Jason and Brittany lay awake in the opening scene of their Stepbrothers reenactment, whispering insults to one another. “I hate you,” Brittany starts, and Jason replies, “I hate you more.” They go on to put their own spins on other scenes from the movie, including one that features Ferrell singing in front of Reilly. Jason pep talks himself before he delivers a rendition of “The Truth,” one of his hits from Wide Open, his 12-track studio album that released in 2009. Brittany said he sounded “like a mix between Jason Aldean and Whitney Houston.”

In the final scene, Jason and Brittany quiz each other on their favorite things, and deem themselves “best friends” when they match every answer (including “favorite song to sing in the shower?” Luke Bryan’s “Country Girl (Shake It For Me)”). Watch the full video the Aldeans posted here.
