Cody Johnson shared a few behind-the-scenes glimpses of the “I’m Gonna Love You” music video with Carrie Underwood.

“It’s been a little over a month since releasing [‘I’m Gonna Love You’] with [Carrie Underwood], and we have been so blessed to see y’all creating your own stories with this song and dedicating it to your family and loved ones,” Johnson wrote in his caption as he shared the behind-the-scenes look on Instagram on Tuesday (October 29). The Texas-born country star, one of the top-nominated artists at the 58th CMA Awards, thanked his fans and Underwood’s “for the support and sharing these beautiful moments with us.”

Johnson released the highly-anticipated duet with Underwood last month, on the same day he revealed the release date of his deluxe album in a surprise announcement. “I’m Gonna Love You” appears on the Leather deluxe album, which will feature 13 new tracks. The extended collection is due on Friday (November 1). Johnson confirmed the deluxe edition of Leather was on the way when he took the stage earlier this year at the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.

“From the moment I heard this song, I heard Carrie’s voice on it. It was a non-negotiable for me; either we sing it together, or I wouldn’t sing it at all. It’s that special to me,” Johnson previously said in a press release. “Working with Carrie has been an absolute pleasure. She’s not only one hell of a singer, but she’s a class act all the way around. It warms my heart to work with someone who’s seen so much success in their career and they’re still so down to earth. I feel like this duet is going to be massive in so many ways, and I couldn’t be prouder of it!”

Johnson followed “I’m Gonna Love You” with “How Do You Sleep At Night?,” one of the other 13 new songs appearing on the 25-track deluxe edition of Leather on Friday. The record follows Human The Double Album (2021) and Ain’t Nothin’ To It (2019).
