Mickey Guyton had to cancel two upcoming shows amid an illness that led to the singer-songwriter losing her voice, she confirmed in a statement on Tuesday afternoon (October 22).

Guyton was set to perform on Tuesday evening at the Majestic Theatre in Madison, Wisconsin, and on Wednesday evening (October 23) at Joe’s on Weed St. in Chicago, Illinois. She shared in her announcement that “unfortunately I’m sick and lost my voice so my shows tonight and tomorrow are canceled. I’m devastated I won’t get to play for you this week, but we’re working to reschedule and I hope to have more info for you on that soon.”

Those two shows are part of Guyton’s first-ever headlining tour, and the latest installment of “CMT On Tour.” The run of shows also includes Abbey Cone and Denitia. Guyton’s headlining tour continues after she released her latest full-length album, House On Fire, last month. The 12-track record includes “My Side of the Country,” “Make It Me,” the title track, “Scary Love” and more. See Guyton’s announcement here, and find her remaining tour dates below.
