Brooks & Dunn reacted to Megan Moroney’s spin on the duo’s “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You.”
Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn initially released “Ain’t Nothing ‘Bout You” on their seventh studio album, Steers & Stripes, in 2001. The 14-track record also included “Only in America,” “The Long Goodbye,” “My Heart Is Lost to You,” “Every River” and more. Now, Brooks & Dunn will debut a reimagined rendition with meteorically-rising country star Moroney. The new version is one of 18 tracks that will appear on the star-studded REBOOT 2 album next month (following 2019’s REBOOT).
“She dug something out that just came out of the blue. It was magic,” Dunn said in a behind-the-scenes video he and Brooks shared on Brooks & Dunn’s social media accounts on Thursday (October 17). The video offers a sneak peek of the new rendition that will arrive on November 15.
So far, Brooks & Dunn have only released “Play Something Country” with Whirlwind hitmaker Lainey Wilson. The upcoming record also features collaborations with Morgan Wallen, Marcus King Band, Warren Zeiders, Jelly Roll, Riley Green, The Cadillac Three, Halestorm, Mitchell Tenpenny, The Earls of Leicester, Jake Worthington, Hailey Whitters, Christone “Kingfish” Ingram, HARDY, ERNEST, A Thousand Horses and Corey Kent.
