Brett Eldredge is getting into the holiday spirit with his newly-announced “GLOW: Welcome to the Family Tour.” The country star announced on Monday (September 23) that he’ll perform in Boston, Chicago, New York and other major cities this winter.

“I feel honored that these Christmas shows have became such a tradition for so many families to get in the spirit of the season,” Eldredge said in a statement of the tour, which features special guest Stacey Ryan. “This upcoming tour is going to be sprinkled with some extra magic, new original Christmas songs and classic holiday stories. My goal is for everyone to feel right at home and leave as part of one BIG beautiful family! Merry Christmas, welcome to the Family! Let’s Glow!”

Eldredge announced his tour shortly after confirming the release date of his next Christmas album, which features a duet with Kelly Clarkson, “Sweet December.” Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family) is Eldredge’s eight full-length LP and his third holiday record, per a press release issued Monday. The 8-track holiday album will make its debut on Friday (September 27).

“After I finished the Glow tour last year, I immediately dove into writing an album full of original Christmas songs that will hopefully become classics in your hearts and minds,” Eldredge said when he announced the project. “We recorded this album trying to encapsulate the classic Christmas sounds I’ve always loved and put my own soulful and jazz-like spin on it. Whatever you want to call it, just know it’s a reflection of the most important themes of the holidays—love, togetherness, family, and community. If you need a place to rest your soul and a group of magical humans to share it with, then just put this album on play, lay back, and take a breath.”

I hope people dig ‘Sweet December’ as much as we do!”
