Jon Pardi is sending out a warning to âall the guys out there falling for the hotties.â
Pardi kickstarted his newest chapter of music with âFriday Night Heartbreakerâ on Friday (September 6). The California-born hitmaker said the single delivers âhot girl warnings,â he recently told iHeartCountry, and cautions other men about heartbreak when they fall for a âgame playerâ on a Friday night out. Songwriters Josh Miller, Chris Tompkins, Jessie Jo Dillon, Daniel Ross and Ryan Hurd teamed up to write âFriday Night Heartbreaker.â The anthem serves as the first song to release from Pardi's forthcoming studio album, Honkytonk Hollywood.
ââFriday Night Heartbreakerâ kicks down the door of this next musical chapter,â Pardi said in a statement via his record label. âI challenged myself to elevate in every aspect, and this is the tip of the spear for whatâs to come. When I first heard the song, I knew instantly that I had to cut it⊠and what a journey it was recording alongside the professor Jay Joyce. Iâm as excited as I have ever been to share new music.â
Pardi previously shared sneak peeks of âFriday Night Heartbreakerâ ahead of its release. He shared a few stunning black-and-white snapshots of his wife, Summer Pardi, captioned with lyrics: âSheâs a Friday Night Heartbreaker/ Hellraiser/ Game player/ Better do yourself a favor.â The Grand Ole Opry star confirmed the songâs release date earlier this week.
Pardi confirmed the title of his next record, Honkytonk Hollywood, on his Instagram story earlier this summer; however, he did not indicate a release date at that time. The album will be his latest full-length project since releasing Mr. Saturday Night in September 2022 and his Christmas album last year. Listen to âFriday Night Heartbreakerâ here:
