Ella Langley approached Riley Green on the dance floor of an old Western saloon to deliver a flirty pickup line in the “you look like you love me” music video. It premiered on Wednesday (August 28).
Langley, 25, teamed up with Wales Toney and John Park to direct the movie-worthy video, which starred her alongside Green and Jamey Johnson. The Alabama-born country artist posted a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the making of the video, which the crew created in Cave City, Kentucky. Langley dons an old-fashioned gown when she stars as the saloon singer. That’s where she meets Green, 35, a wanted cowboy who’s confronted by Johnson at the end of the cinematic video.
The duet with Green is one of 14 tracks that appeared on Langley’s debut record last month. Langley said she “put my heart and soul into this project,” which was five years in the making. The album, hungover, included the title track, “better be tough,” “cowboy friends” and acoustic renditions of “cowgirl don’t cry” and “broken in,” among other highlights. Langley said as the long-awaited debut album arrived that she “couldn’t be more excited to share it with you.”
