Andy Cohen put Micky Guyton on the spot with some “really, really hard” questions on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen (shortly before Guyton made a highly-anticipated announcement about the next chapter in her career as an artist).

In a clip shared on Sunday (August 18), Guyton is prompted, among other questions, to chose between spending more money to see Beyoncé or Taylor Swift live in concert, whether she’s more envious of Dolly Parton or Reba McEntire’s music catalog, whether she was more likely to vote for Kelly Clarkson or Carrie Underwood on American Idol, and which “powerhouse” country couple is the reigning King and Queen of Nashville: Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, or Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood? Guyton said the questions she received — particularly, the selection between Clarkson and Underwood — were “really, really hard,” during her appearance on the show with Dancing With The Stars alumna Julianne Hough.

Guyton also spoke highly of another country icon, Shania Twain, during Watch What Happens Live. When asked the most important lesson she learned from the “Man! I Feel Like A Woman” artist while opening for her on tour last year, Guyton said Twain taught her “to be the bada** ‘beep’ …especially in country music, you know, being a woman, being a beautiful woman like she is, she was not afraid of her body and her sexiness, and that was something that I really, really was inspired by.”

Guyton reflected on opening for Twain about a month before she kicks off her own headlining tour. the Arlington, Texas-born country star is kicking off her first-ever headlining trek on September 18 in Atlanta, Georgia. Shortly after kicking off the latest installment of “CMT On Tour” with Abbey Cone and Denitia, Guyton will deliver her new full-length album. Guyton announced her new album, House On Fire, on Monday morning (August 19), and confirmed her new song, “My Side of the Country,” will arrive on Friday (August 23). Most recently, Guyton has released “Make It Me,” “Scary Love,” “Nothing Compares To You” featuring Kane Brown, and “Woman.” Her latest full-length album is Remember Her Name, the 16-track collection that made its debut in 2021. House On Fire is due on September 27. See Guyton’s headlining tour dates below.
