Country singer-songwriters embraced genre-blending megastar Post Malone as he released his highly-anticipated country album — and surprise extended edition — on Friday (August 16).
Brad Paisley noted during Post’s Grand Ole Opry debut earlier this week that he’s “immersed himself in the Nashville way,” while he created F-1 Trillion. Posty joined forces with some of Music City’s most respected artists and songwriters on the 18-track album. It includes collaborations with Tim McGraw, Hank Williams Jr., Dolly Parton, Jelly Roll, Chris Stapleton and many more. Post Malone has teased his country album with a few tracks that released over the course of recent months, and performed unreleased songs during some of his shows. He kickstarted his country era with “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, followed by “Pour Me A Drink” with Blake Shelton — the duo delivered a surprise performance on the main stage at CMA Fest, hailed the longest-running country festival in the world — and “Guy For That,” featuring Luke Combs.
“Thank you to everyone involved in the making of this project. I am so honored to have worked with some of my favorite artists, writers, and friends,” Post wrote in a caption on Instagram as F-1 Trillion made its debut. “I have had the time of my life making this record, it’s something I’ve wanted to do for a long time, and I’m so excited for the opportunity to make it. Everyone keep expressing yourself, having fun, loving what you do, and loving each other. I love you more than I can say. Have a great night mofo’s, and I’ll see you soon 😈💕🍻”

Posty’s collaboration partners celebrated F-1 Trillion’s long-awaited arrival on Friday morning. McGraw said it’s “been so cool to watch his [Post Malone’s] journey into country.” Wilson said “country music loves ya,” in a tribute to Post, adding that she was proud to be part of the record and to watch him step into the legendary Opry circle on stage earlier this week. The Bell Bottom Country award winner also noted that the album included her first songwriting credit on a song Parton recorded. Others — including Paisley, Parton, ERNEST, Ferrell and Strings — welcomed Posty to Nashville and embraced playing a role in bringing the album to life.
Post took the stage with Wallen and HARDY at the 57th CMA Awards to deliver a surprise tribute to late country star Joe Diffie in November 2023. Since then, Post Malone has performed at the 59th ACM Awards — including an impromptu duet with music legend and host Reba McEntire — at Nashville’s storied Bluebird Cafe, at the historic Grand Ole Opry, at major festivals in the genre and more. Some of those performances included renditions of unreleased songs from the album, including “Yours,” a heartfelt father-daughter ballad, and duets with Wilson and Stapleton, among others. Next, he’s looking ahead to his own headlining trek. the “F-1 Trillion Tour” kicks off in early September in Salt Lake City, Utah, and extends through late October with a closing show in Austin, Texas.
