Chris Young shared a video of the moment he surprised a crowd of unsuspecting bar goers at DawgHouse Saloon in Las Vegas following his performance Resorts World Theatre.
“You never know what’s going to happen in Vegas,” Young wrote in his caption when he posted on Instagram on Monday (August 12). The video captured the audience’s reaction when the “Young Love & Saturday Nights” artist set foot on stage and delivered a rendition of his 2009 single, “Gettin’ You Home,” during the surprise set. “What a night!”
Young released his ninth full-length studio album earlier this year. Young Love & Saturday Nights was three years in the making. Young produced the album alongside Corey Crowder and Chris DeStefano, and had a hand in writing 15 of the 18 tracks. The album includes the David Bowie-inspired lead single, “Looking For You,” “Double Down,” “Right Now,” “Down” and more.
“It's the biggest album I've ever made,” Young previously said of Young Love & Saturday Nights. “It's pretty wild seeing that [the LPs] and knowing that I've got enough stuff to make three more albums right now in my phone. It's just wild. I hope everybody enjoys the fact that I've put out that much music. I know it's a lot. It's a lot for people to listen to, but I hope that's positive.
“I just think this is just a new season,” he said. “And I'm the kind of person that works really well when they're happy. (I'm) really happy.”
