Morgan Wallen will not appear in court this week after allegedly throwing a chair from a six-story rooftop bar earlier this year in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. His court date that was previously set for Thursday (August 15) was pushed back to December 12.

Wallen was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct after allegedly throwing the chair from the rooftop of Eric Church’s bar shortly before 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 7. The chair landed approximately three feet in front of two Metro Nashville Police Department officers who were standing on the sidewalk below. Security footage quickly surfaced of the alleged incident. Wallen’s attorney, Worrick Robinson, said in a statement at that time of Wallen’s arrest that the singer “is cooperating fully with authorities.”

“I didn't feel right publicly checking in until I made amends with some folks,” Wallen said in a statement posted to X, formerly Twitter, on April 19. “I’ve touched base with Nashville law enforcement, my family, and the good people at Chief’s. I'm not proud of my behavior, and I accept responsibility. I have the utmost respect for the officers working every day to keep us all safe. Regarding my tour, there will be no change. -MW”

Wallen, who has since opened his own bar in Downtown Nashville, waived his right to appear at his previous court date on May 3. Robinson represented him at that time and confirmed that the singer would appear at the next court date.
