Morgan Wallen appeared to hint at his next era of music in a video he shared on Instagram on Monday morning (August 5).
“I’ve been in the studio for the past couple days,” Wallen said. “I was just thinking I haven’t been on here to let y’all know or give y’all an update in a long time, but (I was) mostly just laying low and staying out of trouble. I’m really excited for y’all to hear the new music. It sounds awesome.
“Rumors goin all over town, can’t keep my name out they mouth these days,” he added in his caption.
Wallen’s new music will follow his latest single, “Lies Lies Lies,” and latest full-length album, One Thing At A Time. The 36-track collection arrived last year with “Last Night,” “Everything I Love,” “Man Made A Bar” featuring Eric Church, “Thought You Should Know” and more. The East Tennessee-born hitmaker is in the midst of his headlining “One Night At A Time 2024 Tour,” which includes Bailey Zimmerman, Jelly Roll, Jon Pardi, Lainey Wilson, Nate Smith, Bryan Martin, Lauren Watkins and Ella Langley on select dates. Wallen, who’s also gearing up for a run of shows in Europe, recently announced two shows taking place at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee. He announced last month that he’s “coming home,” with HARDY and ERNEST in September.
