Brian Kelley released a new song with a title that matches former U.S. President Donald Trump’s slogan, “Make America Great Again,” on Friday (July 26). The song arrives shortly week after the former Florida Georgia Line singer took the stage to perform “American Spirit” at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Kelley explained in a post on Instagram earlier this month that he wrote “Make America Great Again” by himself on July 7. After the failed assassination attempt of Trump on July 13 at a rally in Pennsylvania, Kelley said he was “processing that event” and “fed up with the current state of America, (so) I decided I need to get this out ASAP. I wrote it from the heart because I am a concerned, real American. I do not pander, and I will never waver. I’m proud to honor my voice, and give a voice and anthem to those who feel the exact same way. Stand up with me. I ask one thing of everyone on here, no matter what side you fall on or in the middle, Let’s be respectful.”

Kelley has since shared a few snippets of the song before its release on Friday. It’s his latest song to release since his full-length solo album, Tennessee Truth, arrived in May. The 12-track album included “Acres,” “How We’re Livin’,” “Trucks, Ducks, Bucks & Beer,” “See You Next Summer,” “Kiss My Boots” and more. The Florida-born singer-songwriter previously described the project as “an album all about love and life.” Find Kelley’s newest release here:
