Sarahbeth Taite is pregnant with Baby No. 2!
The country singer and former American Idol contestant shared photos of her growing family taken by photographer Krista Johnson on Instagram on Wednesday afternoon (July 24). Taite is photographed holding the sonogram images with her husband, Colby Shaw, and the couple’s young daughter, Isla, who turns 2 in October. Taite wrote in her caption: “Here we go again!!! 🤍 we can’t wait to meet you, baby. See you in January 🌼”
Taite said in an interview with PEOPLE that “the timing is just really sweet,” as she’s planning to release a new EP “about motherhood, family, and my journey to getting here. At the same time, I get to grow my family and raise TWO babies with my best friend. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
Most recently, Taite released “First Rodeo,” “Diamond and a Baby” and “Pretty Good Living.” She debuted “Right on Time” around the time Isla was born. Taite’s upcoming EP, The Way We Started, will arrive on August 23. The project is “a long time coming,” and a collection of “five stories I’ve been waiting to tell,” Taite said when she announced the EP last month.
Taite is one of several country artists to announce a new addition to the family.
