Newlyweds Jana Kramer and Allan Russell spoke about their lives together in a heartfelt video shared shortly after the couple’s wedding.
Kramer, 40, and Russell, 43, got married on July 13 in Scotland. They’ve since shared stunning photos from their wedding day — which included Jolie, 8, and Jace, 5, Kramer’s children from her previous marriage, and Troy, Russell’s teen son from a previous relationship — their honeymoon in Italy.
The newlyweds shared a video on Instagram of an interview with PEOPLE, which featured wedding day footage from Scotland wedding photographer Gibson Films, and photos by Craig and Eva Sanders. Kramer got emotional as she spoke about her relationship with hew new husband.
“What I love most about our life together, I mean, it’s just…I just never imagined the goodness. And he’s brought so much — oh, I’m gonna cry — joy to my life, to my kids’ life,” Kramer said. “I just never thought the happy ending exists. How he is with Jolie and Jace, and seeing him as a father, and it’s just how incredible he is with all of them, and then with me. …He protects me so well. He’s so loving. He cares so deeply about everybody. He’s got such a beautiful heart. And I know that no matter what is thrown our way, we’re in this together and I just love doing life with him. He’s my best friend and I love doing parenting with you. I just love every part of it.”
Russell admitted he would’ve preferred to respond to the question first “because now I need to follow that up.
“There’s a list of why I love her so much,” he said. “I think we’re at a point in our lives where we can really appreciate how strong our love is, and we’re mature enough to really value and protect the trust and respect in the relationship. That makes me smile, and it makes Jana smile. And when she smiles, it’s like my whole world lights up. She’s an incredible mum, an incredible partner and I’ve got so much admiration for everything you do for everyone, and how you make everyone feel so special that’s around you. And your patience, how ambitious you are, the attraction I have for you on so many levels. I think she’s just the woman that I’ve always wanted to have by my side.”
Kramer and Russell announced their engagement in May 2023 after about six months of dating. Shortly afterward, they announced they were expecting their first child together. Kramer and Russell welcomed their son, Roman James Russell, in November 2023. Kramer said at that time that she’s “blessed beyond measure for this little miracle,” and Russell said Kramer is “an absolute warrior of a woman and incredible mum who I simply adore.”
