Anne Wilson shared a video of her reaction when Jelly Roll invited her to join him on stage to sing Lainey Wilson’s part in their hit duet, “Save Me” — and Lainey responded.
Anne, 22, wrote in her caption on TikTok: “When Jelly Roll asks you last minute to sing with him and you say YES!!!!!🥹🤍” It happened at the three-day Faster Horses Music Festival over the weekend, where Lainey took the stage on a different night (and laughed off a wardrobe malfunction).
“My Wilson girl. Love you. Keep on shining that LIGHT like you do,” Lainey, who appears on a collaboration on Anne's debut country album, wrote on a comment to the REBEL singer. Anne shared a second video on TikTok of the moment Jelly Roll introduced her to the crowd.
“Lainey Wilson could not be here tonight, but I would like to welcome to the stage one of the greatest people I’ve ever met,” Jelly Roll said. “And her name is Miss Anne Wilson. I am happy to have you sing with me, Miss Wilson. You lead the way.”
Jelly Roll teamed up with Lainey on “Save Me,” which appeared on his 2023 album, Whitsitt Chapel. The collaboration won in the Music Event of the Year category at the 59th Academy of Country Music Awards earlier this year at the world headquarters of the Dallas Cowboys at The Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. After the victory, Jelly Roll hailed Lainey “an angel on earth. Your hard work is inspiring but even more inspiring is how you anchor yourself in your family. …This song would not be what it is without you!”
