Jelly Roll unleashed the latest anthem from the star-studded Twisters soundtrack as the hotly-anticipated film is about to premiere.
The reigning Best New Artist award in both Pop and Country categories at the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Awards released “Dead End Road” on Thursday (July 18). Jelly Roll stirred anticipation for the upbeat, energetic anthem earlier this week as he revealed the release date and said “get ready to chase the wind!”
Jelly Roll’s new single follows several previously-released songs from the 29-track album. Luke Combs kicked it off when he delivered the first single, “Ain’t No Love In Oklahoma,” in May. Since then, Miranda Lambert, Conner Smith, Thomas Rhett, Megan Moroney, Lainey Wilson, Bailey Zimmerman, Tanner Adell and others have released their songs from the movie’s soundtrack.
Twisters follows “a retired tornado-chaser and meteorologist (who) is persuaded to return to Oklahoma to work with a new team and new technologies,” reads its description on IMDb. The Lee Isaac Chung-directed thriller, which serves as a nod to the 90s blockbuster, stars Glen Powell, Daisy Edgar-Jones and Anthony Ramos, among others in the cast. The movie is set to premiere on Friday (July 19), along with the full Twisters album. Find Jelly Roll’s music on iHeartRadio here.
