Mark Chesnutt said he’s “healing at home comfortably,” after undergoing an “emergency quadruple bypass surgery” last month.
“There’s nothin like the crowd gettin excited two notes into a song of mine! I'm healing at home comfortably. But I can’t wait to get back out singin with the band and the fans!” Chesnutt wrote in his caption on Instagram on a recently-shared video, which garnered well-wishes from some commenters. That post arrives shortly after the Beaumont, Texas-born country star was hospitalized and underwent emergency surgery, a statement previously shared to his page confirmed.
Chesnutt, 60, is hailed “one of the most signatured country music voices of the 90s and a honky tonk mainstay for more than three decades,” reads a statement shared to his page last month. Chesnutt canceled upcoming performances as he heals from surgery. His website does not include any upcoming appearances as of publication time on Tuesday (July 9). The legendary honky tonk singer-songwriter said in a statement following his hospitalization last month: “I send my love and gratitude to my family and friends, the band and fans for your understanding, prayers and support, and look forward to seeing you all again soon at a honky tonk near you.”
