Miranda Lambert offered a glimpse of “some never before seen moments” she shared with Carrie Underwood on the set of their iconic “Somethin’ Bad” music video in 2014. The newly-shared memories from Lambert mark the video’s 10-year anniversary this week, she noted on Tuesday morning (June 25).
Lambert teamed up with Underwood to release the collaboration a decade ago. It was one of three duets to appear on Lambert’s 16-track record, Platinum, along with “Smoking’ and Drinkin’” featuring Little Big Town and “All That’s Left” featuring The Time Jumpers. That album also included “Little Red Wagon,” “Automatic” and more.
“Stand on the bar, stomp your feet, start clappin’/ I got a real good feelin' somethin' bad about to happen/ The drinks keep comin', throw my head back laughin’/ Wake up in the mornin', don't know what happened/ Whoa, somethin' bad/ Whoa, somethin' bad”
Most recently, Lambert launched her next era with a fiery revenge anthem. “Wranglers” signals the next chapter in the Texas-born singer-songwriter’s career with nods to some of her biggest hits from previous albums (notably, she referenced “Kerosene” in the music video that premiered earlier this month). Underwood’s most recent project to release is Denim & Rhinestones, which arrived in June 2022, followed by a deluxe edition with six new tracks in September 2023.
