Watch Riley Green Surprise Honky Tonk Crowd In Downtown Nashville

Riley Green surprised bar goers at a historic honky tonk on Lower Broadway in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. The “There Was This Girl” artist took the stage at Tootsies Orchid Lounge, across the alley from the storied Ryman Auditorium, to deliver a one-night-only pop-up performance on Thursday evening (June 20).

Green, 35, met a cheering, whistling audience as he arrived on stage and raised a beer with the packed Nashville crowd. He kicked off Busch Light’s Busch Country show with an acoustic rendition of “Different ‘Round Here,” a 2019 song that he rereleased as a duet with fellow hitmaker Luke Combs last year. Green’s intimate, impromptu set also included “Hell Of A Way To Go,” “Worst Way” and “I Wish Grandpas Never Died.” He closed the performance with his debut single, “There Was This Girl,” an upbeat anthem that arrived in summer 2018.

Green’s latest project to release is Way Out Here, a 7-track EP that arrived weeks before he took the stage at the 2024 iHeartCountry Festival at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Way Out Here includes “Worst Way,” in addition to the title track, “Jesus Saves,” “Atlantic City,” “Good Morning From Mexico,” “Damn Good Day To Leave” and “Pick A Place.” The Jacksonville, Alabama-born singer-songwriter’s latest project adds to career-spanning hits and collaborations with Ella Langley, Jelly Roll, Randy Owen, Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett and others.
