Luke Combs debuted a full-length album as a tribute to the cherished bond between fathers and sons on Friday (June 14). Listeners quickly hailed the heartfelt project a “real tear jerker,” and the “perfect Father’s Day gift,” among other early reactions.

Combs, 34, posted a sweet father, son photo to mark his album's release. He announced Fathers & Sons last week. The 12-track album includes a few previously-teased and previously-released ballads, including “Huntin’ By Yourself,” “The Man He Sees in Me,” “Plant a Seed” and “Take Me Out to the Ballgame.” The songs capture the country hitmaker’s life as a father of two young boys. He and his wife, Nicole Combs, welcomed their firstborn child, son Tex Lawrence Combs, on Father’s Day in June 2022. The new parents announced less than one year later that Nicole was pregnant with Baby No. 2, son Beau Lee Combs, who was born in August 2023.
