Luke Bryan revealed everything that’s on the “Mind Of A Country Boy.”
Bryan penned the song with Ben Hayslip, Dallas Davidson, and Rhett Akins (an award-winning trio of country songwriters dubbed The Peach Pickers, joining Bryan on his 15th annual “Farm Tour”). Jeff Stevens and Jody Stevens co-produced it. “Mind Of A Country Boy” is part of a new project that’s expected to release later this year, according to a press release issued on Friday afternoon.
“Every time I get in a room with The Peach Pickers we have so much fun because we have so much in common,” Bryan said in a statement. “This song not only shows what can run through my mind but also what most us country boys think about on any given day. The girl we love, outdoors, life and not getting above our raising.”
The Georgia-born country star teased his latest anthem earlier this year, when he teamed up with his wife, Caroline Bryan, to announce his 2024 headlining tour of the same name. Bryan kicked off his U.S. tour dates on Thursday evening (June 13) in Jacksonville, Florida, with his next show slated for Friday (June 14). Special guests on select dates include Tenille Arts, Chayce Beckham, George Birge, King Calaway, Dillon Carmichael, Larry Fleet, HunterGirl, Ella Langley, Tracy Lawrence, Kameron Marlowe, Chase Matthew, Meghan Patrick, Lily Rose, Josh Ross, Alana Springsteen, Zach Top and DJ Rock. Bryan is also performing at Truist Field in Atlanta, Georgia, and Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois, with Bailey Zimmerman, Marlowe and Beckham, and Zimmerman, Lawrence and Beckham, respectively.
Bryan revealed a snippet of “Mind Of A Country Boy” in late May, wanting to know: “What do y’all think? Should I release it before the tour?” It’s Bryan’s latest song to release since his heartfelt single, “Love You, Miss You, Mean it,” which arrived in April. Bryan delivered the debut live performance on February 29 during the 2024 Country Radio Seminar (CRS) at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee.
