Jelly Roll shared a heartfelt reminder “for anyone going through something” as he released his newest single on Wednesday morning (June 12). He reminded listeners that “it’s okay to not be okay, but its all gonna be alright!”
The reigning iHeartRadio Music Awards Best New Artist award in both Pop and Country categories released “I Am Not Okay,” the first release from his upcoming sophomore album. He previously performed the song during the season finale of The Voice last month and during CMA Fest over the weekend. Jelly Roll headlined the main stage at CMA Fest, the longest-running country festival in the world, for thousands of Nissan Stadium attendees on Saturday night (June 8) in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. He’ll also join Ashley McBryde to host the CMA Fest televised concert special on Tuesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC. It will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.

Jelly Roll’s latest full-length album is Whitsitt Chapel, a 13-track project that arrived in June 2023. He titled it after the church he attended in his hometown, growing up in the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee. That album included “Halfway To Hell,” “Behind Bars” with Brantley Gilbert and Struggle Jennings, “Unlive” with Yelawolf, “Need A Favor,” his award-winning duet with Lainey Wilson, “Save Me,” and other highlights. The former iHeartRadio On The Verge Artist, who kicks off his headlining “Beautifully Broken Tour” in August, said last year that his album is “about growth and gratitude happening in my life. I wanted to create a project that felt hopeful. I believe the worst feeling a person can have is feeling hopeless or worthless. This is therapeutic music. Real music for real people with real problems.”
