Jelly Roll said “words will never be able to express my gratitude,” as he shared a video of a recent performance in Detroit, Michigan.

Jelly Roll took the stage with Eminem during the Live From Detroit: The Concert at Michigan Central special that aired over the weekend. The Whitsitt Chapel star shared a clip from that show on Instagram on Monday (June 10) as he thanked Eminem. Jelly Roll joined the rapper on his early 2000s anthem, “Sing For The Moment,” as sparks flew on stage. The event also included performances from Michigan natives Diana Ross, Big Sean, Jack White and others.

“When I think about the coolest moments of my career, right now at the top, there has to be this thing that I got to go sing with Eminem in Detroit,” Jelly Roll said in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, reminiscing on his performance of the Steven Tyler-inspired single with Eminem in the city where the rapper grew up. Jelly Roll said it was “an incredible night, and I got to go do it in Detroit. It was unreal.”

Jelly Roll is getting ready to release “I Am Not Okay,” his next song to release after Whitsitt Chapel’s debut last year. He performed it when he took the stage at CMA Fest over the weekend. He’ll team up with Ashley McBryde to host the star-studded event — featuring “never-before-seen performances and surprise collaborations,” among other highlights — when it airs on Tuesday, June 25 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on ABC. It will be available to stream the following day on Hulu.
