Little Big Town teamed up with Kelsea Ballerini to put a new spin on a ballad the quartet released more than a decade ago.

The award-winning country group — made up of Karen Fairchild, Kimberly Schlapman, Phillip Sweet, and Jimi Westbrook — will mark a milestone together by compiling the greatest hits of their career. Little Big Town announced their biggest hits album, including the new version of “Shut Up Train” with Ballerini, on Thursday morning (June 6).

“Celebrating 25 years as a band with a Greatest Hits album, out August 9th,” Little Big Town announced. “This collection of favorite songs will be available for pre-order tonight at midnight along with a new version of Shut Up Train, featuring our friend [Kelsea Ballerini]. Thank you to the fans for giving these songs so much life over the years.”

Little Big Town released “Shut Up Train” on their 12-track album, The Reason Why, in 2010. Earlier this week, they shared a snippet of “Shut Up Train” on Instagram, reflecting on it as “forever one of our favorites.” Ballerini commented, “this song forever,” and shared it on her own Instagram story.

Little Big Town will also celebrate 25 years as a band by hitting the road on the “Take Me Home Tour” with Sugarland and The Castellows. Little Big Town announced the tour on April 7, before taking the stage with Sugarland at the 2024 CMT Music Awards at Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The two beloved groups performed their cover of Phil Collins classic, “Take Me Home.”
