Kelsea Ballerini will serve as an official coach on The Voice next year.
NBC revealed on Wednesday (June 5) that the award-winning “If You Go Down (I’m Goin’ Down Too)” star is going from the “first ever coach of the comeback stage, to an advisor, to a fill in, to AN OFFICIAL COACH ON THE VOICE SPRING 2025 Welcome [Team Kelsea]!” One of the show’s original coaches, Adam Levine, is also slated to return to coach in spring 2025, along with returning coaches John Legend and Michael Bublé, who will make his coaching debut in Season 26, NBC previously announced.
Ballerini is the latest country artist to join the smash-hit competition show as a coach. Most recently, Dan + Shay became the first-ever coaching duo, and legendary singer-songwriter Reba McEntire served as a coach for the first time (following previous roles as Battle Advisor and Mega Mentor). McEntire will return for Season 26, alongside Gwen Stefani and first-time coaches Bublé and Snoop Dogg. Country superstar Blake Shelton was the longest-running coach on the show. He left The Voice in May 2023.
“OK, it’s official,” Ballerini said in an NBC video revealing a the Season 25 coaches of The Voice. Sharing the video on her Instagram story, she gushed that she’s been “dying” to tell her fans. “I am so, so, so beyond excited to be joining The Voice next year, y’all. Let’s go, Team Kelsea!”
