Lainey Wilson prepared to take the legendary Grand Ole Opry stage in a new sneak peek of her soon-to-premiere special, Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country.

The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year got “butterflies” as she got ready to perform at the Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. In a full-circle moment, Wilson said her 9-year-old self “would be freaking out” to know that she would perform at that venue. Wilson visited the Grand Ole Opry for the first time while she and her family took a trip to Nashville when she was 9 years old. During a previous interview with iHeartCountry, Wilson remembered watching Little Jimmy DickensPhil VassarCrystal Gayle and Bill Anderson perform at the Opry that day. That was when Wilson had “an overwhelming feeling” she was meant to be on that stage someday.

“The amount of people who have come through here, the amount of people who have stood on the stage, who have been in these green rooms, I’m nervous right now. I don’t think I ever come to the Opry and play and not have those butterflies. Nine-year-old Lainey would be freaking out. It kind of makes me emotional. Y’all are going to see me cry again,” Wilson said in the preview clip posted by ABC News Studios on Tuesday morning (May 29).

Good Morning America anchor Robin Roberts will interview Wilson in the special that she produced via her ABC News Studios production unit. It will be available to stream on Hulu. Wilson previously said Roberts “ran the roads with me, going from concerts to interviews and everything in between, to get a sneak peek into this wild ride I’ve been on,” to bring the special to life. Roberts said Wilson’s journey “is one of reliance and passion.”

The sneak peek showing Wilson backstage at the Opry arrives about a week after Wilson received an unforgettable surprise from Reba McEntire. Wilson performed her latest song to release from her upcoming album, Whirlwind, on the season finale of The Voice on May 21. that’s where McEntire surprised the Baskin, Louisiana-born singer-songwriter with an official invitation to become a member of the Grand Ole Opry. Wilson is set to be inducted into the Grand Ole Opry on Friday, June 7.

Lainey Wilson: Bell Bottom Country premieres on Wednesday (May 29).
