Tyler Hubbard posted his list of world tour destinations after releasing his sophomore solo album, Strong, earlier this month. The “Back Then Right Now” hitmaker is gearing up for more than a dozen performance dates with special guest Alana Springsteen.
Hubbard followed last year’s self-titled solo debut with Strong, a 13-track album that includes “Wish You Would,” “A Lot With A Little,” “Vegas” and other highlights. The Georgia-born singer-songwriter co-wrote each track — with one solo writing credit on “'73 Beetle” — and co-produced the album with Jordan Schmidt. Hubbard is currently performing on Kane Brown’s headlining “In The Air Tour,” with festival performances on the horizon before the “Strong World Tour” kicks off this fall.
“I think with any album, I think my hope is that they get to know me a better through the songs, but also get to know theirselves a bit better,” Hubbard said via his record label when Strong made its debut earlier this month. “You know, a lot of these songs for me were very self-discovery, if you will. A lot of self-discovery going on when you’re opening yourself up and you’re being vulnerable. And yes, some of these songs are fun and some of these songs are less vulnerable and just sort of like lighthearted and not anything we need to overthink, but then some of these songs are super real, super vulnerable, super authentic, and I think that’s a fun place to kind of go as a creative and I think it’s fun to challenge my fans to kind of do the same thing and look a little deeper into who they are and explore what makes ‘em tick a little bit, what makes ‘em go. So, I hope it does that for them. I also just hope brings people joy. I think there’s a lot of fun on this album. I think there’s a lot of joy in my heart, in my spirit, for my life and for my family, and I hope that it overflows into my music and I hope people hear the album or come to a live show, I hope they leave feeling kind of filled up with joy and just made a good memory that they can take with them.”
Hubbard will kick off his world tour on September 6 with a show in Indianapolis, Indiana. The tour includes stops across the U.S. and in Canada, with the final show set for November 21 in Nashville, Tennessee, hosted at the historic Ryman Auditorium.
