Jelly Roll was just nominated for his first (four) ACM Awards and could not be more honored and grateful. The "Son Of A Sinner" standout sat down with People to discuss the nominations and express his excitement.
"I spent my whole life just thinking that what I was doing would never be heard or seen. I almost gave up on any dream of this thing ever being like it is now, and man, is it just incredible to be in the middle of it. I'm grateful."
The thrilling news of Jelly's many ACM Award nominations arrives less than a week after the "Save Me" singer won Performance Of The Year, Male Video Of The Year, and Video Of The Year at this year's CMT Awards, all for hit single, "Need A Favor." Speaking on his ACM nominations, the star relayed:
"I didn't expect to get this many. Even when I had a shelf built, I had it built for what I won last year thinking that was probably the best year of my life, I don't know what to do about this thing still running." The icon is so grateful to be nominated that he hasn't even considered how winning the awards would impact his life.
"I'm not even going to start to even let that thought cross my mind. That's insanity."
