Cole Swindell debuted a romantic ballad on Friday (April 12), sharing “Forever To Me” as he prepares to marry fiancée Courtney Little.
The award-winning country star began teasing the song on his social media pages last week. He posted a few brief snippets from the then-unreleased track with heartfelt lyrics, including “You ever seen a prayer in person?,” “She gave 18 summers to Carolina, spent a few more wild and free,” and “I mighta gave her the diamond, but she gave forever to me.” Little eagerly commented on one of the country hitmaker's posts on Instagram, “CAN WE RELEASE THIS ALREADY 😩😩😩😍😍🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹”
Swindell recently teased the April 12 release date when he commented on Little’s Instagram post. She shared a few stunning photos by photographer Natalie Keith, embracing her “bridal era.” She clarified at that time that *these are fun portraits but this is not my dress- just thriving as a bride to be.” Swindell commented “I love you ❤” and “How’s 4.12 sound? 🤔,” prompting responses wondering whether the country star was hinting at the couple’s wedding date or a new song release.
Swindell announced his engagement to Little in May 2023, sharing at that time: “Still couldn’t tell ya everything I said down on one knee.. All I know is she said “YES”! 💍 We’re so excited!” Little wrote in an engagement announcement of her own: “Woke up as future Mrs. Swindell 💍 I’ve never been so happy! I can’t believe we are ENGAGED!!!!! 🥹.”
“Forever To Me” marks Swindell’s latest single since the vulnerable ballad “3 Feet Tall,” which arrived in November 2023. His latest full-length album is Stereotype Broken, an extended project that released in 2022. That album includes “Drinkaby,” “Never Say Never” with Lainey Wilson, “I’m Gonna Let Her,” “Down to the Bar” featuring HARDY, “Single Saturday Night,” “Some Habits” and his award-winning, Jo Dee Messina-inspired single, “She Had Me At Heads Carolina.” Find Swindell’s music on iHeartRadio here.
