NEEDTOBREATHE and Jordan Davis joined forces on the 2024 CMT Music Awards stage, days after teaming up for a special outdoor taping for an upcoming CMT Crossroads show (the filming took place two days ahead of the awards show at UT Austin). The South Carolina-based Christian rock group and the country star delivered a first-time mashup performance on the Moody Center stage on Sunday evening (April 7). They performed a special version of NEEDTOBREATHE’s “Brother” and Davis’ “Next Thing You Know.”

The 2024 show marked NEEDTOBREATHE’s first time back on the CMT Music Awards stage since their “mesmerizing performance” of “I Wanna Remember” with Carrie Underwood in 2021, CMT noted in a press release ahead of the show. CMT also noted that the performance marked Davis’ CMT Music Awards main stage debut.
