Eric Church is slated to headline the inaugural Field & Stream Music Festival taking place later this year. The announcement on Monday morning (March 25) arrives months after Church teamed up with fellow country star Morgan Wallen to confirm that they’re reviving outdoor lifestyle magazine Field & Stream, and teased details about the festival.
Church announced on Monday that the inaugural Field & Stream Music Fest will take place from October 4 through October 6 in Winnsboro, South Carolina. He’s set to perform on Sunday, October 6, days after taking the stage at another first-ever music festival in Ocean City, Maryland. Tickets to the Field & Stream Music Fest will be available to the public on Thursday morning (March 28) at 8 a.m. ET. So far, the lineup also includes Bell Bottom Country award-winner Lainey Wilson. The festival will feature more than 30 artists, according to Church's record label.
“I can remember my grandfather kept a few of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dash of his truck,” Church said in a statement when he and Wallen confirmed they were reviving the Field & Stream brand this year. It was initially established in 1871. “That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures and I all but memorized every story and every picture on every page. They were my Bible. It is the honor of my life to make sure that legacy carries on. It is both this responsibility to an American Icon and also to a young boy in his papaw’s truck that will be the compass that guides our steps.”
Church also recently announced his 19-show residency in Music City to mark the opening of his highly-anticipated bar, Chief's, in Downtown Nashville, Tennessee. His “To Beat The Devil Residency,” which sold out during the pre-sale, will kick off on Friday, April 5. Church promised “a one of a kind show… Trust me, you don’t want to miss this one.”
