Shania Twain responded to Lukas Gage after the actor apologizes for “wasting her time” when she performed at his wedding, only to divorce from husband Chris Appleton six months later.

Twain reposted a story shared by Entertainment Weekly on X, formerly Twitter, and referenced the lyrics to one of her biggest mid-90s anthems. The globally-beloved country-pop megastar wrote, “If you’re not in it for love, I’m outta here!,” adding a laughing face emoji and another making a missing face. Twain released “(If You’re Not in It for Love) I’m Outta Here!” on her 1995 album The Woman in Me. The 12-track project also included “Any Man Of Mine,” “Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?,” “You Win My Love,” “No On Needs To Know” and other highlights.

Gage appeared on Watch What Happens Live earlier this week, telling host Andy Cohen in a clip shared on TikTok that he “had a manic episode for six months. …I don't know literally what went through my head. But we live and we learn.” Gage also said said he’s “a little impulsive,” and the marriage was “probably one of the most unhinged things I’ve ever done in my life, and I’ll probably have six other marriages.”

The White Lotus actor married the hair stylist in a ceremony officiated by Kim Kardashian in Las Vegas. Twain performed “You’re Still The One,” her classic Come On Over ballad. Gage said on Watch What Happens Live: “I want to apologize to Shania Twain for wasting her time. …That was like the biggest waste of her time. I love you Shania, I'm really sorry about that.”
