Jana Kramer reflected on a “sweet” DM she received in 2021 from Farmer Wants A Wife star Mitchell Kolinsky on the latest episode of Whine Down With Jana Kramer, where he appeared as a guest with Brandon Rogers.
Kramer said she looked up Kolinsky and Rogers on Instagram before the two Farmer Wants A Wife cast members appeared on her podcast. She quickly noticed that Kolinsky already followed her, and at first, she thought “he probably just followed me because he knows he’s going to come on Whine Down.” But when she checked her messages, she noticed Kolinsky had sent her a DM on September 26, 2021, “the year of my divorce,” from ex-husband Mike Caussin, with whom she shares daughter Jolie, 8, and son Jace, 5. Kramer recently welcomed Baby No. 3, her first with fiancé Allan Russell, son Roman James.
Kramer — who noted that she’s DMed “in my single days,” and her now-fiancé initiated the conversation when he DMed her — opted to read Kolinsky’s message on Whine Down with Jana Kramer. She chose to read it “because I think it’s sweet,” she said. In part, Kolinsky wrote that he “would love to meet you,” if Kramer ever wanted to get dinner with him, and said “thank you for being a light in our community… You’re awesome.” The country artist, actress, author and podcast host noted the difference in age she has with Kolinsky — she turned 40 in December, and he’s 27 — and led into a discussion about TV personality Kristin Cavallari, 37, who recently began dating boyfriend Mark Estes, 24.
Kramer asked Kolinsky about the DM when he appeared on the show with Rogers. Kolinsky commented on a Whine Down Instagram post on Monday (March 4) that he’s “been following since 2010👏”
