Kacey Musgraves stirred anticipation for her next era with a 2024 Grammy Awards commercial and video posted to her social media channels on Sunday evening (February 4). The trailblazing singer-songwriter, who presented reigning CMA Awards Entertainer of the Year Lainey Wilson with her Grammy Award for Best Country Album (Bell Bottom Country), seemingly revealed a sneak peek titled “My Saturn Has Returned.”
The video includes the link to Musgraves’ website, where items labeled “KM5” are available for pre-order. The site reads, “the release date will be announced soon (before December 31, 2024).”
The 2024 Grammy Awards commercial comes after Musgraves has posted vague teasers on her social media channels over the weekend, omitting captions. She captioned other posts throughout the evening, however: “I’m saying goodbye to the people that I feel are real good at wasting my time. No regrets, baby, I just think that maybe you go your way and I’ll go mine. ✌🏼,” “It’s been a real good time. But, you’ve got dark energy, something I can’t unsee and I’ve got to take care of myself..,” and “I found a deeper well. kaceymusgraves.com.”
Musgraves’ latest full-length project is star-crossed, the 15-track album that made its debut in September 2021, including the title track, “justified,” “breadwinner” and other highlights throughout the collection. The Grammy Award-winning artist has since released stunning covers of timeless songs by legendary artists, including “Can’t Help Falling in Love” from the soundtrack for Elvis Presley biopic Elvis (2022), and Bob Marley’s “Three Little Birds” from the soundtrack for soon-to-premiere Bob Marley: One Love. Musgraves also joined Zach Bryan on “I Remember Everything,” a collaboration that earned Bryan his first-ever Grammy Award this year in the Best Country Duo/Group Performance category, and making Musgraves the first artist ever to win all four country categories at the Grammys.
