Kacey Musgraves surprised fans when she announced the debut of her stunning acoustic version of “Three Little Birds,” which released on Friday morning (January 26). Musgraves recorded her rendition of the Bob Marley and the Wailers’ late 1970s classic in honor of the soon-to-premiere biopic, Bob Marley: One Love.
The Grammy Award-winning country star, who also paid tribute to music legend Elvis Presley with her cover of “I Can't Help Falling In Love” on the soundtrack of Elvis in 2022, announced her version of “Three Little Birds” on her social media channels on Thursday afternoon (January 25). The upcoming One Love EP with music inspired by the film also includes Wizkid, Leon Bridges and others, per the image Musgraves shared in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
Bob Marley: One Love takes “a look at the life of legendary reggae musician Bob Marley,” reads the description of the upcoming biography-drama on IMDb. The Reinaldo Marcus Green-directed film was written by Terence Winter, Frank E. Flowers and Zach Baylin. It stars Kinsley Ben-Adir as Marley, James Norton, Lashana Lynch and others. It’s set to premiere on Valentine’s Day, on Wednesday, February 14.
