Eric Church and Morgan Wallen teamed up to revive an outdoor lifestyle magazine.

The two country stars revealed in an announcement on Thursday (January 25) that Field & Stream, initially established in 1871, will be “reborn” this year. The confirmation comes after Church and Wallen posted cryptic teasers on their social media channels last week. Church, Wallen and Field & Stream shared a video on Thursday to announce that the magazine would bring back its print edition in its “new chapter” with the two country artists. The “Man Made a Bar” duo penned a letter about the revived Field & Stream, appearing on the brand’s website early Thursday morning, aiming to “lend our voices to this iconic American brand so that it can continue to inspire future generations to experience and enjoy the outdoors, just as it has for us and those who came before us.”

“I can remember my grandfather kept a few of his favorite Field & Stream magazines on the dash of his truck,” Church said in a statement. “That truck took us on hundreds of outdoor adventures and I all but memorized every story and every picture on every page. They were my Bible. It is the honor of my life to make sure that legacy carries on. It is both this responsibility to an American Icon and also to a young boy in his papaw’s truck that will be the compass that guides our steps.”

Wallen added in a statement of his own: “There’s nothin’ I love more than being with friends around a campfire, on a boat or in a deer stand - and Field & Stream represents all of those to me. Being part of its future is incredible and we want to keep bringing people together outdoors, makin’ memories, for generations to come.”

Bringing back the print magazine marks the first step in the process to reboot Field & Stream, per Church’s record label. The Chief star and Wallen will also establish a Field & Stream exclusive membership, 1871 Club, with access to a limited-edition apparel collection and an outdoor music festival. However, it was not immediately clear on Thursday where or when the music festival would take place.
