Zac Brown and his wife Kelly Yazdi have separated and are heading toward a divorce just four months after they got married.
According to a report from TMZ on Friday (December 29), the newlyweds-turned-exes confirmed that they are "in the process of divorce" but still have respect for each other.
"We are in the process of divorce. Our mutual respect for one another remains," they said in a joint statement. "We wish each other the best and will always appreciate our time together. As we navigate this personal matter, we simply request privacy during this time."
Brown and Yazdi secretly tied the knot on August 31 in a ceremony in Coweta, Georgia, over a year after Yazdi was seen wearing what appeared to be an engagement ring, TMZ reports. However, it appears that the marriage became rocky in the following months. Fans began speculating that the 45-year-old Zac Brown Band lead singer and the 32-year-old model had split after she deactivated her Instagram and returned to the platform without Brown's name in her bio. The exes also no longer follow each other, and Yazdi reportedly got rid of all posts and photos of Brown.
This was Brown's second marriage. He was previously married to Shelly Brown for 12 years before they announced their divorce in October 2018. They share five children.
