Darius Rucker has a few cherished traditions to celebrate Christmas in the best way. The Carolynâs Boy star listed a few beloved holiday movies he watches and his favorite Christmas dish as he winds down to relax after a busy year of making music and touring.
Rucker said itâs a âhard question,â when asked about his favorite Christmas movie. âBut it would be a tie between Miracle on 34th Street, which is still just great acting, great movie. I just love it. I love watching it. I watch it probably four times every Christmas and cry at the end every time. And I love Elf. I just think Elf is one of the absolute great stories and just funniest movies Iâve ever seen and it just happens to be a Christmas movie. Itâs one of my favorite movies,â he said, per his record label.
The Hootie & the Blowfish star, who released his own collection of holiday music in 2014, describes himself as âa big food guy,â and hails his sisterâs sweet potato pie his favorite dish to eat on Christmas: âI love sweet potato pie so much, and I donât get it very often. And my sisters always make sure I get a couple during Thanksgiving and Christmas, so thatâs my favorite thing â sweet potato pie.â
Rucker released Home For The Holidays nearly a decade ago, featuring his renditions of Christmas classics like âLet It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow,â âHave Yourself A Merry Little Christmas,â âIâll Be Home for Christmas,â âWinter Wonderlandâ and others on the 12-track project.
