Blake Shelton is aiming to quit drinking — or, at least, “cut back” — in 2024.

Shelton admitted it’s a goal he’s set for himself before (without success), but he’s hopeful about the New Year.

The country music megastar, 47, is gearing up to celebrate the New Year at the highly-anticipated New Year’s Eve Bash in Nashville, Tennessee. Shelton was recently revealed in the star-studded lineup, alongside Trace Adkins (Shelton said “there’s nobody more fun for me to be around than Trace Adkins,” including his wife, Gwen Stefani), Kane Brown, Cody Johnson, Megan Moroney, Jon Pardi, Carly Pearce and many others. Elle King is set to host with Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith.

Shelton recently caught up with Entertainment Tonight, revealing to Smith that his New Year’s resolution is to at least “cut back” on drinking, if not cutting it out altogether.

“I haven't managed to stop drinking yet. That's been, you know, even cutting back has been hard,” Shelton told Smith. “I mean, it's a resolution though. And I'll say it again right now — that's my New Year's resolution, is to either cut back or stop drinking altogether. Let's just say I said it.”
