Gabby Barrett joined a “sweet trend” she couldn’t help but notice after releasing her heartwarming autobiographical ballad, “Growin’ Up Raising You.” The country singer-songwriter, who is pregnant with Baby No. 3, shared footage of unforgettable moments as a young mother.
“Watching my babies grow up while growing up myself has been the biggest joy of my life,” Barrett said as she shared her own reel on Instagram on Tuesday evening (November 28), following suit after others have referenced the song to share precious family moments.
Barrett, 23, and her husband, Cade Foehner, 27, met when they were both contestants on American Idol in 2018. They married the following year, and have since welcomed two children together, daughter Baylah May, on January 18, 2021, and son Augustine Boone on October 27, 2022. Baby No. 3 is on the way, and Barrett previously confirmed that she’ll give birth to another baby girl in early 2024.
“‘Growin’ Up Raising You’ is a very sensitive song for me, I would say. It talks about exactly what the title says, ‘Growin’ Up Raising You,’” Barrett previously said of the song she wrote with Jon Nite, Zach Kale and Jimmy Robbins. “I’m only 23. I don’t have all the answers to everything. I have not got everything figured out. I am doing the best that I can, while trying to raise other people to be the best people that they can be. And so, it’s just so interesting and I feel so blessed to be able to have three little lives that I can help to flourish in life while I am also trying to figure out life myself.”
Barrett's “Growin’ Up Raising You” is the latest song to release from Chapter & Verse, Barrett's highly-anticipated sophomore album that's set to release on February 2, 2024. It follows previously-released “Cowboy Back” and “Glory Days.” Listen to it here:
