Elle King is set to return to the annual New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash to host the celebration alongside Entertainment Tonight’s Rachel Smith. King will also take part in the star-studded performance lineup during the highly-anticipated event in Nashville, Tennessee.
“New Year’s Eve is the one party we celebrate all over the world,” King said in a statement when she was announced as a host and performer on Wednesday (November 29). “I wouldn’t want to spend it any other place than Music City! I’m so excited to get to host another beautiful night of music, friends, love, and joy. I can’t wait to celebrate an incredible year and welcome a new one together.”
Smith added that the annual Big Bash will be “one heck of a show” and “the perfect soundtrack to ring in another year with family and friends,” she said in a statement.
Previously-announced performers include Thomas Rhett, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Lainey Wilson. The five-hour show, hosted on the Bicentennial Mall stage, will feature nearly 50 performances throughout the evening. Additional performers will be announced at a later date.
“Building on what we have established over the last two years by focusing on our artists, the fans and the vibrancy of downtown Nashville, this year’s lineup is shaping up to be our most exciting yet. We will celebrate 50 years of the iconic southern rock band Lynyrd Skynyrd, the skyrocketing Lainey Wilson and country music superstar Thomas Rhett, with over a dozen artists and special guests still to be announced,” executive producer Robert Deaton previously said in a press release. “Nashville is quickly becoming THE destination for New Year’s Eve, and we are honored that CBS wants to help us continue to show off our music and incredible city with a new multi-year deal!”
The show will be broadcast live on CBS and available to stream on Paramount+ on December 31 (7:30-10:00 PM, ET/PT, 10:30 PM-1:05 AM, ET/PT).
