Jana Kramer has welcomed Baby No. 3!
The country artist, actress, author and podcast host announced that her third child — her first with fiancé Allan Russell — has made his arrival. Kramer confirmed the joyous news with PEOPLE via one of her reps on Tuesday (November 14). The celebrity and entertainment news hub shared the first photos of the newborn baby boy, captured by Brooke Kelly Photography. One black-and-white snapshot shows the proud parents holding their baby boy, and the other shows Kramer’s two children from her previous marriage, Jolie, 7, and Jace, 4, gazing at their new brother.
Kramer shared some heartwarming photos in her own post on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon, welcoming Roman James Russell to the world. She revealed that her son was born on Monday (November 13), weighing 6 pounds, one ounce, and she’s “blessed beyond measure for this little miracle.”
“Allan and I are both overjoyed and truly grateful to announce the birth of our son, Roman James Russell. We feel blessed to have been given the chance to create something so special together,” Kramer said in a statement to PEOPLE, going on to explain how she and Russell selected the name. “The name Roman really isn't inspired by anyone, it's just a strong name that we both love, but James (his middle name) was both of our Grandpa's names, so that was a nod to them.”
Before welcoming Roman James, Kramer posted a photo with Jolie and Jace, savoring sweet moments with them before adding their newborn half brother to the family. The Whine Down with Jana Kramer host also gushed over her fiancé, applauding him as “the most patient, supportive and loving partner during these past 8 months. …Me and the kids are so lucky to have you in our life and I can’t wait to hold our little creation💙”
Kramer and Russell announced in May that they were engaged after about six months of dating. Kramer, who turns 40 in December, and Russell, 42, followed their engagement announcement with a pregnancy reveal in June. Kramer said at that time that she was “beyond blessed and grateful for this baby to be a part of our story.”
Since announcing her third pregnancy, Kramer has shared sweet family moments along the way, including the way Jolie and Jace reacted to their mother’s pregnancy, the gender reveal, and when she confirmed that she and Russell had selected a name for their first baby together (though she didn’t reveal the name ahead of time, she confirmed it did not follow the “J” theme, like her two eldest children).
